About Tsavo Labs

Tsavo Labs Team

We are an independent Centre for Social Innovation established with the initial support of the South African Breweries Foundation and the Bertha Foundation. Our goal is to promote systemic social change across all economic sectors through the adoption of contextualized development models. We seek to contribute towards aspiration 1 and 6: A prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and sustainable development and An Africa, whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African people, especially its women and youth, and caring for children of the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

We pursue this goal by

  • Encouraging a free exchange of ideas and values
  • Facilitating a mutually beneficial shift in roles and relationships
  • Promoting the integration of private capital with public and philanthropic support

The Journey Ahead

We are building partnerships for systemic social change in the region. Over the next five years, we aim to continue refining our sector agnostic model and contribute to more opportunities in the region towards aspiration 1 and 6 of the African Union's Agenda 2063: A prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and sustainable development and An Africa, whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African people, especially its women and youth, and caring for children.
